Guardian Link
A safety necklace for young people living alone, one press away from help.
A four-person UC Berkeley project on a brief about living alone. I led the design side: the user research, the app interface, the pendant's 3D model and the logo; my teammates brought statistics, finance and mechanical engineering. Many young people move to a new city for school or work and live alone for the first time, and late nights coming home are when they feel least safe. Guardian Link is a wearable pendant plus a companion app: one press sends your real-time location to the contacts you chose, the pendant lights up and can make a loud alarm, and the app shows nearby incidents on a map.

This one grew past a side object into a full project — the world-building, the identity system, and the applications are documented as a case study.
